The Betjeman Statue
Landmarks
|
The Betjeman Statue is a bronze statue of the former Poet Laureate, located on the south upper level near the champagne bar, above the Arcade concourse. The statue was created in memory of Sir John Betjeman who himself managed to save St Pancras from destruction in the 1960's. The statue is bronze, 2 metres high and stands on a flat disc of Cumbrian slate inscribed with lines from Betjeman's poem Cornish Cliffs. |
