Regents park is just 3 miles away from St Pancras International taking 10 minutes to drive there, if you have some spare time it is worth taking a nice stroll around the park to take in all the stunning scenery, there are breathe taking gardens and a beautiful lake with a waterfowl. London ZooThe north of Regents Park consists of the most famous London Zoo. The zoo first opened in 1828 and is the oldest scientific park in the world, it is situated between Camden and the City of Westminster. The zoo opened the first public Aquarium, the first ever children's zoo, the first Reptile zoo and also the first insect house. The zoo has an extortionate total of over 15,000 animals.Open Air TheatreThe theatre is situated in the inner circle inside Queen Mary's Gardens. The tiered auditorium has one of the longest bars out of any theatre in London. The theatre has an extensive backstage area with a full wardrobe, makeup and wigs department, a green room for the company and technical team and a workshop. There have been many famous faces that have performed at the theatre such as Christopher Biggins, Jenny Galloway, Joanna Riding, Samantha Spiro, Jenna Russell and many more, shows only last 45 minutes and cannot go over as the evening production will be disrupted due to the technology used and also shows are dependant on British weather as it is 'open air' if it rains there cannot be a show. |
