Schiphol
The Schiphol railway station is located directly beneath Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (it is also the Eurostar terminus), which is the main international terminal for the Netherlands. Schiphol Airport is near Amsterdam city centre, but hourly direct trains are available from platform 3 to Amsterdam Central Station for an average €3.80 with average travel time of 20 minutes. The Schiphol traffic-tower, completed in 1991, is one of the highest of its kind in the world. Trains between St Pancras and Schiphol run around 3 times a day.
Eurostar trains between St Pancras International and Schiphol have average journey times of 3 hours, 41 minutes; the route passes throuh Lille and Brussels. High speed rail to the Netherlands is popular because it is even more convenient and efficient to travel. Many people book tickets to Schiphol Amsterdam Airport to take advantage of its excellent facilities, and connections to nearby Amsterdam make it popular.

Public and Transport Links
Taxi
The Schiphol Travel Taxi is available for a standard rate of 39 Euros, which will take passengers from Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam city centre. Visitors are advised to agree on a set price before entering the vehicle.
Buses
The Schiphol Plaza, in front of the Arrivals and Departure lounges, is the location for bus terminals.
Schiphol Sternet
A high-frequency service available from early morning until late evening, with additional night buses. There are special rush-hour lines for commuters, and travel time to and from the airport is under 30 minutes on average.
Sternet-run Interliner rapid connections also operated in the region: the 370 line runs between Alphen a/d Rijn, Leimuiden, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Amsterdam Zuid and Amsterdam Centre (Leidseplein).
Zuidtangent
A regional express service designed to reduce travel times by the use of specific lanes. There are two lines:

Information and Finance
Information desks are located in Arrivals Halls 2 and 3, behind passport control in Lounges 2 and 3 and in schiphol Plaza. Postal services are available from Lounge 2. Bureau de change facilities, bank outlets and cash machines are located all over the airport.
Luggage
There is a Lost Property Office inside the airport, but actual misplaced items are stored in the basement between Arrivals 1 and 2.
Lockers are available to use at various points in the airport. Other services include- Seal & Go who offer a service for sealing luggage, porters available on request and free trolleys.
Shopping
Purchases over 20€ will be stored by the airport until passengers pass through again.
The main complex is the Schiphol Plaza which offers a wide variety of products and is very popular with day tourists. Duty free shops are only accessible with a boarding pass and include fashion boutiques, newsagents, flower shops, gift shops, music shops and many more.

Coffee and sandwich bars: Hello There, Hot ‘n’ Cold, Juggle Juice (and) Sandwich Bar, Délifrance Plaza (tearoom with outdoor terrace), Multivlaai (coffee and fruit flans), Grand Café Plaza.
Traditional Dutch: Café Rembrandt (pub), De Blauwe Hollander, Vlaamse Frites (authentic Dutch chips and snacks).

Other food and dining: Dufry Liquors of the World, Grand Cafe Heineken Hoek, Food Village, New Deli, Pronto Ice Cream bar.
Holland Casino Schiphol
This is the only casino in the world inside a major international airport, with three roulette and blackjack tables, over 80 slot machines and a smaller outpost in the Bubbles Lounge. Table bets start as low as seven dollars but are capped at $280.
Children and Families
All toilets in the airport are complete with full baby changing facilities.
Playgrounds are available free of charge in the Hollywood Boulevard, including the Kids’ Forest adventure playground with wooden treehouses.
Panorama Platform
The terrace is free of charge, with two Heineken bars and telescopes to watch arrivals and departures of all the aeroplanes. It is open from 9am-5pm in winter, and 7am-8pm in summer. The L-shaped terrace spans around 100 metres, with a triangular lift that runs between the platform and the main airport complex.
Communication and Technology
The Communications Centre provides wi-fi facilities. Multiphone multimedia telephone units with touch-screen features are located at various points throughout the airport for terminal information.
Visitors can hire mobile phones from the telecom Rentcentre. Offices to let (with fax, computer, telephone and secretarial services) are available from the Schiphol Business Centre.
There are also mini-offices, the Skyport Business Centre and a telephone centre with full telecommunication facilities.
Rijksmuseum Amsterdam Schiphol
This is the world’s premier airport museum, which was opened as an annex of the main museum in 2002. It is free to visist and contains works by many of the Dutch masters, Jan Steen and Jacob van Ruisdael. Temporary exhibitions feature work from the main museum’s collection, such as Rembrandt and Frans Hals.
