Bourg-Saint-Maurice
Eurostar trains between St Pancras International, Ashford and Bourg St Maurice have average journey times of 8 hours, 9 minutes, but the Skitrain route is only available between December and April on Fridays and Saturdays. Bourg is popular with tourists outside of this season, but for tickets any other time of year, passengers musst use the indirect service through Paris.Bourg-Saint-Maurice is linked to most of the major ski resorts, with an extension of Les Arcs. Eurostar, TGV and Ski Train lines are all operated from the station in the Arc Valley (at the foot of the Aiguille Rouge mountain). The main bus station, and coach station, is located next to the railway station and allows connections to all the major resorts.
Bourg-Saint-Maurice, or just Bourg, is a popular ski resort that lies in the heart of the Rhône-Alpes region in south-east France and is in the Savoie area, the last large town along the Tarentaise valley. It has become one of the largest ski and snowboard areas in the world, but there are also watersports activities (including canoeing, kayaking and white water activities) and summer outdoor (mountain bikes available to rent).

Les Arcs and the Paradiski System
Les Arcs, recently linked with La Plagne via Plan-Peisey, is part of the Paradiski system in Bourg-Saint-Maurice, which is under ownership by Compagnie des Alpes. It was specifically intended as a ski resort and consists of a group of modern complexes, with a collection of hillside buildings and a contemporary recreated Savoyard village. The resort is only unique because of its contemporary architecture, infrastructure and support systems. There are many English-speakers in the region despite the lack of international visitors. Visitors can take Le Vanoise Express to transfer between the resorts. It spans 3000 metres from Les Arcs and 380 metres over the Tarentaise Valley from Plan-Peisey and Les Coches right over to La Plagne. Visitors are advised to avoid the winter months, as Les Arcs is prone to flooding.
